Install Jentic One Beta
Jentic One is a self-hosted execution layer for AI agents. It lets your agent call the BestAppify API, or any other public or private API you need. You set the rules, the agent never sees your credentials, and every call is logged.
Two steps, two machines. Install the instance in a safe environment, then register your agent from wherever it runs.
Step 1: Jentic One Host machine
# On the machine that will host your Jentic One instance:
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Fbestappify.com%2Fbestappify" | shStep 2: Agent machine
# On the machine where your agent runs (keep this separate from the instance):
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Fbestappify.com%2Fbestappify" | sh
jentic register # connects your agent to your Jentic One instanceJentic One is in public beta. The setup above keeps your agent separate from the instance, which is what you want before using real credentials: an agent running as the same OS user as Jentic One can read its stored keys directly. Just evaluating? A single local install is fine to start. See the secure deployment guide for the tiers.

Patterns agents use BestAppify API for, with concrete tasks.
★ AI Agent ASO Monitoring
An AI agent watches an app's App Store standing without a developer wiring a rank tracker. Through Jentic the agent reads keyword rankings and rank history for a tracked app and surfaces the keyword opportunities worth chasing, while the bearer token stays on the developer's own machine.
Read keyword rankings for a tracked app, pull its keyword opportunities, and return the terms with the most headroom
Competitor Analysis
App developers need to know who they are up against for a keyword. BestAppify returns an app's competitors and their keyword overlap, plus week-over-week rank movers, so an agent can report which rivals are gaining and on which terms.
Fetch an app's competitors and keyword overlap, then check the market movers to flag any competitor that gained rank this week
Listing Change Review
Editing an App Store listing can help or hurt rank. BestAppify's listing reviewer scores a proposed change before publication and its rank-driver data shows what listing edits actually move, so an agent can vet a change first.
Submit a proposed listing change to the listing reviewer and return its assessment before the developer publishes
35 endpoints — the bestappify api serves shopify app store intelligence for app developers, covering keyword rankings, competitors, reviews, listing analytics, and revenue.

What agents get from Jentic-routed access to this vendor.
Setup
Wiring BestAppify by hand means supplying its bearer token, pacing against its documented request limit, and stitching keyword, competitor, and market endpoints together yourself. Through Jentic you install once, import BestAppify from the API Directory, store the token once, and your agent calls it.
Permission scoping
BestAppify puts the app id in the URL path (/api/v1/apps/{app}/...), so a rule can pin your agent to one app and the read operations you choose, such as keyword rankings and competitors. You choose which operations it may call, so the listing rewrite operations are not included unless you add them.
Credential isolation
Your BestAppify token is stored once, encrypted, by your own Jentic One instance and injected at execution time. It never enters the agent's prompt, logs, or context.
Intent-based discovery
Agents search Jentic by intent such as 'track keyword rankings' or 'find competitors', and Jentic returns the matching BestAppify operation with its input schema so the agent calls the right endpoint without browsing the reference docs.
Alternatives and complements available in the Jentic catalogue.
Specific to using BestAppify API through Jentic.
Is there a BestAppify MCP server?
You don't need an MCP server to give your agent the BestAppify API. Jentic connects it directly from the API Directory: import it, store your credential once, and your agent calls it. Operations are discovered on demand, so nothing extra loads into the agent's context.
Can I limit what my agent is allowed to do with the BestAppify API?
Yes. Write a rule that allows only the keyword and competitor read operations under one app, so the agent can monitor that app's rankings but cannot submit a listing rewrite, and every call is logged.
What authentication does the BestAppify API use?
The BestAppify API authenticates with a bearer token in the Authorization header, issued with a ba_live_ prefix, as declared in its OpenAPI spec. Through Jentic the token is stored encrypted by your own Jentic One instance and injected at call time, so it never reaches the agent's prompt or logs.
Can I track keyword rankings for my app with the BestAppify API?
Yes. The keywords operation returns an app's current rankings with full rank history, and the opportunities operation surfaces terms weighted by how beatable the field is so the agent knows which keywords are worth chasing.
How do I track App Store keyword rankings through Jentic?
Install Jentic One with `curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jentic/jentic-one/main/tools/install.sh | sh`, then import the BestAppify API from the Jentic API Directory and store your token. Your agent searches for 'track app store keyword rankings' and Jentic returns the keywords operation with its input schema. To run it on your own infrastructure, install Jentic One from its GitHub repo.
What are the rate limits for the BestAppify API?
The BestAppify API documents a limit of 120 requests per minute with a daily allowance that varies by plan, counted per account across all keys, per its OpenAPI spec. The account endpoint returns your current rate-limit state so an agent can pace itself.
For Agents
Track Shopify App Store performance for your apps: read keyword rankings and history, find competitors, surface keyword opportunities, watch rank movers, and review listing changes.
Use for: Get the keyword rankings for my app, Find my app's competitors, I want to see keyword opportunities for my listing, Check which keywords moved this week
Not supported: Does not handle app publishing, billing, or push notifications. Use for Shopify App Store keyword, competitor, and listing intelligence only.
The BestAppify API serves Shopify App Store intelligence for app developers, covering keyword rankings, competitors, reviews, listing analytics, and revenue. It reports an app's keyword rankings with full rank history, its competitors and keyword overlap, and keyword opportunities weighted by how beatable the field is. Market endpoints search the App Store, rank leaderboards and movers, and a listing reviewer scores a change before you publish it.
