For Agents
Enrich a company by its domain, read buying signals, and check credit balance and usage. Batch enrichment results can be retrieved by job id.
Use for: Enrich the company at stripe.com with buying-signal data, Check how many enrichment credits are left on my account, Retrieve the results of a finished batch enrichment job, Find out whether a company is showing buying intent right now
Not supported: Does not handle email verification, outbound email sending, or CRM record storage. Use for company enrichment and buying-signal data only.
The BounceWatch API enriches companies by domain with firmographic and buying-signal data, and tracks the credits each lookup spends. A domain enriched within the last 24 hours returns instantly at no extra credit cost, and batch enrichment jobs can be polled for status and results. Account endpoints report your credit balance, usage, and request history, and let you register a webhook so results are posted back to you.
Install Jentic One Beta
Jentic One is a self-hosted execution layer for AI agents. It lets your agent call the BounceWatch API, or any other public or private API you need. You set the rules, the agent never sees your credentials, and every call is logged.
Two steps, two machines. Install the instance in a safe environment, then register your agent from wherever it runs.
Step 1: Jentic One Host machine
# On the machine that will host your Jentic One instance:
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Fbouncewatch.com%2Fbouncewatch" | shStep 2: Agent machine
# On the machine where your agent runs (keep this separate from the instance):
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Fbouncewatch.com%2Fbouncewatch" | sh
jentic register # connects your agent to your Jentic One instanceJentic One is in public beta. The setup above keeps your agent separate from the instance, which is what you want before using real credentials: an agent running as the same OS user as Jentic One can read its stored keys directly. Just evaluating? A single local install is fine to start. See the secure deployment guide for the tiers.
What an agent can do with BounceWatch API.
Enrich a company by its domain with firmographic and buying-signal data
Read buying signals that flag when a company is in-market
Check your remaining enrichment credits before spending them
Retrieve the results of a batch enrichment job once it completes
Review your account's recent request history and usage
Register a webhook URL so BounceWatch posts enrichment results back
Patterns agents use BounceWatch API for, with concrete tasks.
★ Agent-driven company enrichment
An AI agent that qualifies inbound leads can call BounceWatch with a company domain and receive firmographic and buying-signal data in one response. A domain already enriched within the last 24 hours comes back instantly at no credit cost, so repeated lookups in a session stay cheap.
Enrich the company at acme.com and return its firmographic fields and current buying signals
Credit-aware batch enrichment
A workflow that enriches a list of domains can start a batch, poll its status until it finishes, and then pull the results, checking the credit balance first so it never spends more than the account allows. BounceWatch returns the batch results keyed by the job id you polled.
Check the credit balance, then retrieve the results for batch job batch_123 once its status is complete
In-market signal monitoring
A sales agent can watch for companies entering the market by reading the buying signals BounceWatch attaches to an enriched company, then record the account usage so the team sees how many lookups the monitoring consumed.
Enrich target-company.com, read its buying signals, and report whether it is currently in-market
9 endpoints — the bouncewatch api enriches companies by domain with firmographic and buying-signal data, and tracks the credits each lookup spends.

This API is usable in Jentic One now. Its AI-readiness score against Jentic's framework shows where it stands today and where improvements would make it even easier for agents to use.
Base layer of spec validity and structural soundness.
Aggregated quality score from linter diagnostics, weighted by severity.
Percentage of `$ref` references that resolve successfully.
Checks whether the API description parses successfully and conforms to its declared specification (e.g., OpenAPI).
Structural correctness score based on schema issues using logarithmic dampening.
Clarity, completeness, and ingestion readiness for developers and tooling.
How richly the API is illustrated with examples.
Percentage of examples that conform to their schemas.
Percentage of operations with complete response definitions (success, client error, server error).

Setup
Wiring BounceWatch by hand means handling its API-key header, its credit accounting, and the poll-until-complete loop for batch jobs yourself. Through Jentic you install once, import BounceWatch from the API Directory, store the key once, and your agent calls it.
Permission scoping
You choose which BounceWatch operations the agent may call, such as company enrichment and credit reads, so an account operation like setting your webhook URL is not included unless you add it.
Credential isolation
Your BounceWatch API key is stored once, encrypted, by your own Jentic One instance and injected at execution time. It never enters the agent's prompt, logs, or context.
Intent-based discovery
Agents search Jentic by intent such as 'enrich a company by domain', and Jentic returns the matching BounceWatch operation with its input schema so the agent calls the right endpoint without reading the reference docs.

Specific to using BounceWatch API through Jentic.
What authentication does the BounceWatch API use?
The BounceWatch API authenticates with an API key sent in the X-API-Key header, per its OpenAPI spec. The health-check endpoint needs no credential, so you can point an uptime monitor at it without spending credits.
Is there a BounceWatch MCP server?
You do not need an MCP server to give your agent BounceWatch. Jentic connects it directly from the API Directory: import it, store your API key once, and your agent calls the enrichment and account operations. Nothing extra is loaded into the agent's context until an operation is actually used.
Can I limit what my agent is allowed to do with the BounceWatch API?
Yes. Write a rule that allows only the company-enrichment and credit-read operations, so the agent can look up domains and check its balance but cannot change your account webhook URL, and every call it makes is logged.
Can I retrieve batch enrichment results with the BounceWatch API?
Yes. Start a batch, poll the enrichment status endpoint until it reports complete, then read the data from the matching results endpoint. Results for a domain enriched in the last 24 hours return instantly at no extra credit cost.
What are the rate limits for the BounceWatch API?
The OpenAPI spec does not publish a numeric rate limit. Enrichment spends credits per lookup, so the practical ceiling is your credit balance, which you can read from the account credits endpoint before a run.
How do I enrich a company with the BounceWatch API through Jentic?
Search Jentic for 'enrich a company by domain', and it returns the BounceWatch company-lookup operation with its input schema. Pass the domain, read back the firmographic fields and buying signals, and the credit cost is reflected in your balance. To run it on your own infrastructure, install Jentic One from its GitHub repo.
