Install Jentic One Beta
Jentic One is a self-hosted execution layer for AI agents. It lets your agent call the Feriados API, or any other public or private API you need. You set the rules, the agent never sees your credentials, and every call is logged.
Two steps, two machines. Install the instance in a safe environment, then register your agent from wherever it runs.
Step 1: Jentic One Host machine
# On the machine that will host your Jentic One instance:
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Fferiadosapi.com%2Fferiadosapi" | shStep 2: Agent machine
# On the machine where your agent runs (keep this separate from the instance):
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Fferiadosapi.com%2Fferiadosapi" | sh
jentic register # connects your agent to your Jentic One instanceJentic One is in public beta. The setup above keeps your agent separate from the instance, which is what you want before using real credentials: an agent running as the same OS user as Jentic One can read its stored keys directly. Just evaluating? A single local install is fine to start. See the secure deployment guide for the tiers.
What an agent can do with Feriados API.
List Brazilian national public holidays for a given year, optionally including facultative days
Check whether a specific date is a holiday and return the matching holidays
Get state-level or municipal holidays by UF or IBGE city code
List the FEBRABAN bank-holiday calendar and check whether a date is a banking business day
List all Brazilian states and the 5,571 municipalities with their IBGE codes
GET STARTED
Patterns agents use Feriados API for, with concrete tasks.
★ Agent scheduling around Brazilian holidays through Jentic
An AI scheduling assistant needs to avoid booking work or deliveries on a Brazilian holiday. It checks a candidate date, and if the date is a holiday the response names it, so the agent can move the booking to the next working day. State and municipal lookups let the agent respect a local holiday that a national calendar would miss.
Check whether 2026-12-25 is a holiday for the state of SP and report the holiday name if it is one
Banking settlement date calculation
Payment and settlement flows must land on a banking business day. The API serves the FEBRABAN bank-holiday calendar and a direct check that returns whether a date is a banking business day, and when it is not, the reason and the next business day, so a finance workflow can schedule a payout correctly.
Check whether 2026-02-16 is a banking business day and return the next business day when it is not
Municipality-aware holiday lookup
Holidays in Brazil vary by state and city, so an app serving many locations needs the right local calendar. The API resolves a municipality by its IBGE code and returns that city's full holiday list, letting a workforce or logistics tool apply the correct days off for each location it operates in.
Resolve the municipality with IBGE code 3550308 and list its holidays for 2026
9 endpoints — the feriados api returns brazilian public holidays and banking-calendar data for scheduling and date calculations.

What agents get from Jentic-routed access to this vendor.
Setup
Wiring the Feriados API by hand means choosing between the X-API-Key header and a Bearer token, tracking which lookups consume quota, and paginating the municipality lists yourself. Through Jentic you install once, import it from the API Directory, store the key once, and your agent calls it.
Permission scoping
Every Feriados operation is a read, so a rule can allow just the holiday and locality lookups your agent needs. You choose which it may call, for example the national and bank-holiday reads without the full municipality dump.
Credential isolation
Your Feriados API key is stored once, encrypted, by your own Jentic One instance and injected at execution time. It never enters the agent's prompt, logs, or context.
Intent-based discovery
Agents search Jentic by intent such as 'check if a date is a holiday in Brazil' or 'list bank holidays', and Jentic returns the matching Feriados operation with its input schema so the agent calls the right endpoint without browsing the reference docs.
Alternatives and complements available in the Jentic catalogue.
Specific to using Feriados API through Jentic.
What authentication does the Feriados API use?
It accepts an API key sent as the X-API-Key header or as a Bearer token in the Authorization header, per its OpenAPI spec. Every request carries one of those credentials, including the holiday and locality reads.
Can I check whether a specific date is a holiday with the Feriados API?
Yes. Pass the date to the date-lookup endpoint and the response lists any holidays that fall on it, with the holiday name, type, and scope. For banking workflows there is a separate check that tells you whether a date is a banking business day and, if not, the reason and the next business day.
What are the rate limits for the Feriados API?
The OpenAPI spec does not state a request rate limit, though some lookups consume account quota while national and bank-holiday lists are free. Check the Feriados API documentation for the current quota and rate limits before running large batches.
Is there a Feriados MCP server?
You don't need an MCP server to give your agent the Feriados API. Jentic connects it directly from the API Directory: import it, store your credential once, and your agent calls its holiday, bank-calendar, and locality lookups on demand.
Can I limit what my agent is allowed to do with the Feriados API?
Yes. Every operation is a read, so write a rule that allows just the lookups your agent needs, for example the national and bank-holiday reads and the date check, and leave the full municipality list out if it is not needed. Every call it makes is recorded in your Jentic One audit log.
How do I check Brazilian holidays with the Feriados API through Jentic?
Search Jentic for 'check if a date is a holiday in Brazil', add the Feriados API from the directory, and store your API key once; your agent then calls the date check or the yearly national and state lists as it needs them. To run it on your own infrastructure, install Jentic One from its GitHub repo.
For Agents
Look up Brazilian national, state, and municipal public holidays, check whether a date is a holiday or a banking business day, and resolve states and municipalities by IBGE code.
Use for: Check whether 2026-12-25 is a holiday in Brazil, List the national holidays for 2026, Get the holidays for the state of SP, Find the FEBRABAN bank holidays for this year
Not supported: Does not handle event booking, reminders, or holidays outside Brazil. Use for Brazilian holiday and banking-calendar lookups only.
The Feriados API returns Brazilian public holidays and banking-calendar data for scheduling and date calculations. It lists national, state, and municipal holidays by year, checks whether a given date is a holiday, and returns the FEBRABAN bank-holiday calendar along with a check for whether a date is a banking business day. It also serves reference lists of every Brazilian state and all 5,571 municipalities with their IBGE codes, so a lookup can resolve a city before asking for its holidays.
