For Agents
Search financial news, fetch full article text, track trending topics and entities, and generate AI summaries, insights, and chat answers over the news corpus. Manage collections, insight channels, and briefs.
Use for: Search recent news about a company, Get the full text of an article by its ID, Summarize the latest articles on a topic, Find the trending entities in the news right now
Not supported: Does not handle trade execution, market price feeds, or portfolio accounting. Use for searching financial news and generating summaries, insights, and briefs only.
The FTS Studio API searches financial news across many sources and turns it into summaries, insights, and briefs. It runs full-text search, returns an article's full text by ID, and tracks trending news and trending entities, then generates AI summaries, including a streaming option. Saved searches become collections you execute on demand, insight channels produce and store ongoing insights, and chat completions answer questions grounded in the news corpus. Daily briefs, newsletters, a cost estimate per call, and usage reporting round out the surface.
Install Jentic One Beta
Jentic One is a self-hosted execution layer for AI agents. It lets your agent call the FTS Studio API, or any other public or private API you need. You set the rules, the agent never sees your credentials, and every call is logged.
Two steps, two machines. Install the instance in a safe environment, then register your agent from wherever it runs.
Step 1: Jentic One Host machine
# On the machine that will host your Jentic One instance:
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Ffintechstudios.com%2Ffintechstudios" | shStep 2: Agent machine
# On the machine where your agent runs (keep this separate from the instance):
curl -fsSL "https://jentic.com/install.sh?src=apis&api=%2Fapis%2Ffintechstudios.com%2Ffintechstudios" | sh
jentic register # connects your agent to your Jentic One instanceJentic One is in public beta. The setup above keeps your agent separate from the instance, which is what you want before using real credentials: an agent running as the same OS user as Jentic One can read its stored keys directly. Just evaluating? A single local install is fine to start. See the secure deployment guide for the tiers.
What an agent can do with FTS Studio API.
Search financial news across many sources and get an article's full text by ID
Track trending news and trending entities
Generate AI summaries of articles, with a streaming option
Save searches as collections and execute them on demand
Create insight channels and pull their latest insights
Run chat completions grounded in the news corpus and list available models
Patterns agents use FTS Studio API for, with concrete tasks.
★ Agent news research through Jentic
An AI research agent searches financial news on a company, pulls the full text of the most relevant articles, and generates a summary it can cite. Because collections save a search and execute it on demand, the agent can rerun the same query each morning and summarise only what is new, turning a standing watch into a scripted step.
Search news for a company, fetch the full text of the top article, and generate a summary of the results
Standing insight channels and daily briefs
Analysts want ongoing coverage of a theme, not a one-off search. Insight channels produce and store insights over time, and daily briefs collect them into a readable digest, so a tool can stand up a channel for a market topic and surface its latest insight or the newest brief on demand.
Create an insight channel for a market theme and fetch its latest insight
Grounded chat over financial news
Instead of a free-floating chatbot, teams want answers tied to real coverage. The chat completions endpoint answers questions grounded in the news corpus and can stream the response, while a cost estimate endpoint prices a call first, so an assistant can answer market questions with sourced context and known cost.
Estimate the cost of a chat completion, then run it with a question about a recent market event
32 endpoints — the fts studio api searches financial news across many sources and turns it into summaries, insights, and briefs.

This API is usable in Jentic One now. Its AI-readiness score against Jentic's framework shows where it stands today and where improvements would make it even easier for agents to use.
Base layer of spec validity and structural soundness.
Aggregated quality score from linter diagnostics, weighted by severity.
Percentage of `$ref` references that resolve successfully.
Checks whether the API description parses successfully and conforms to its declared specification (e.g., OpenAPI).
Structural correctness score based on schema issues using logarithmic dampening.
Clarity, completeness, and ingestion readiness for developers and tooling.
How richly the API is illustrated with examples.
Percentage of examples that conform to their schemas.
Percentage of operations with complete response definitions (success, client error, server error).
Health of API ingestion, bundling, and resolution within Jentic pipelines.
Semantic breadth, depth, and agent comprehension for AI systems.
Coverage of descriptions across API elements.
Coverage of RFC 9457 Problem Details for error responses.
Coverage, uniqueness, and casing consistency of operationIds for AI inference.
Coverage of summaries across operations/tags/info.
Functional utility, complexity comfort, and AI orchestration readiness.
Agent comfort level based on API operational and structural complexity.
Trust, risk posture, and security compliance.
Average quality of security schemes based on authentication method strength (weakest link for OAuth2).
Findability, semantic richness, and reasoning readiness.

Setup
Wiring the FTS Studio API by hand means choosing between the X-API-Key header and a Bearer token, estimating call cost, and handling the streaming summary and chat responses yourself. Through Jentic you install once, import it from the API Directory, store the credential once, and your agent calls it.
Permission scoping
You choose which operations your agent may call, so it can search, summarize, and read insights while collection and insight-channel deletion stays out unless you add it. Most of the surface is read and generate operations, so a research agent needs nothing destructive.
Credential isolation
Your FTS Studio credential is stored once, encrypted, by your own Jentic One instance and injected at execution time. It never enters the agent's prompt, logs, or context.
Intent-based discovery
Agents search Jentic by intent such as 'search financial news' or 'summarize articles on a topic', and Jentic returns the matching FTS Studio operation with its input schema so the agent calls the right endpoint without browsing the reference docs.

Specific to using FTS Studio API through Jentic.
What authentication does the FTS Studio API use?
It accepts an API key sent as the X-API-Key header or a Bearer token in the Authorization header, per its OpenAPI spec. The same credential resolves to its owner through the account endpoints, and it covers search, summaries, and chat alike.
Can I get AI summaries of financial news with the FTS Studio API?
Yes. After searching or selecting articles you can generate an AI summary, and a streaming variant returns the summary as it is produced. For deeper questions the chat completions endpoint answers grounded in the news corpus, and a cost estimate endpoint prices a call before you run it.
What are the rate limits for the FTS Studio API?
The OpenAPI spec does not state a fixed request rate limit, but it exposes an estimate endpoint that prices a call and a usage endpoint that reports consumption. Use those to pace work, and check the FinTech Studios documentation for the current limits on your plan.
Is there a FinTech Studios MCP server?
You don't need an MCP server to give your agent the FTS Studio API. Jentic connects it directly from the API Directory: import it, store your credential once, and your agent calls the search, summary, insight, and chat operations on demand.
Can I limit what my agent is allowed to do with the FTS Studio API?
Yes. Write a rule that allows the search, summary, and insight-read operations your agent needs, and leave collection and insight-channel deletion off the list, so a research agent can query and summarise without removing saved work. Every call it makes is recorded in your Jentic One audit log.
How do I search financial news with the FTS Studio API through Jentic?
Search Jentic for 'search financial news', add the FTS Studio API from the directory, and store your API key once; your agent then runs a search, fetches full article text, and generates a summary. To run it on your own infrastructure, install Jentic One from its GitHub repo.
