Setup

Wiring RentCast by hand means sending its API-key request header to api.rentcast.io and mapping its listings, properties, and valuation endpoints yourself. Through Jentic you install once, import RentCast from the API Directory, store the key once, and your agent calls it.

Permission scoping

RentCast puts the property id in the URL path (/properties/{id}), so a rule can pin your agent to reading one property alongside its read-only listings and valuation lookups. You choose the operations it may call, so only the endpoints you allow will run.

Credential isolation

Your RentCast API key is stored once, encrypted, by your own Jentic One instance and injected at execution time. It never enters the agent's prompt, logs, or context.

Intent-based discovery

Agents search Jentic by intent such as 'find sale listings' or 'estimate a property value', and Jentic returns the matching RentCast operation with its input schema so the agent calls the right endpoint without browsing the reference docs.
