SWAPI - The Star Wars API

Setup

Wiring SWAPI, the Star Wars API, by hand means coding its people, planet, film, and species calls against its host and paging through each list yourself. Through Jentic you install once, import SWAPI from the API Directory, and your agent calls it.

Permission scoping

SWAPI puts each resource id in the URL path (/people/{id}/, /planets/{id}/), and every endpoint is a read-only GET, so a rule can pin your agent to reading a single person, planet, film, or species. There are no write or delete operations to include.

Credential isolation

SWAPI needs no credential, and if you configure one it is stored once, encrypted, by your own Jentic One instance and injected at execution time. It never enters the agent's prompt, logs, or context.

Intent-based discovery

Agents search Jentic by intent such as 'list all available resources' or 'get a character by id', and Jentic returns the matching SWAPI operation with its input schema so the agent calls the right endpoint without browsing the reference docs.
