Setup

Wiring TVMaze API by hand means matching its search, lookup, and schedule query shapes and handling errors and retries yourself, even though it needs no auth. Through Jentic you install once, import TVMaze API from the API Directory, and your agent calls it.

Permission scoping

TVMaze API is a read-only lookup service whose calls pass their input as query parameters or show ids in the path, so scoping is operations-only: you limit the agent to the operations it needs, such as searching shows or reading the schedule, and leave out anything else. Every operation the agent can run is one you put in that allowed set.

Credential isolation

TVMaze API needs no secret, and any configuration is stored once, encrypted, by your own Jentic One instance and injected at execution time. It never enters the agent's prompt, logs, or context.

Intent-based discovery

Agents search Jentic by intent such as 'search for a show by name' or 'get today's schedule', and Jentic returns the matching TVMaze API operation with its input schema so the agent calls the right endpoint without browsing the reference docs.
