Frank Kilcommins has shaped how the world builds and uses APIs, and now he is bringing that expertise to Jentic.

The Author of Arazzo Joins Jentic

Arazzo is more than just another standard. It is a foundational specification technology that gives AI agents understanding of business logic, so they can reliably perform complex, multi-step operations across diverse APIs. It is the missing layer that allows agents to move from prototype to production. It is designed to be machine-readable, human-readable and indeed AI-readable. As an open standard, it allows industry to represent critical business logic in a common, interoperable and auditable format, building upon existing standards and tooling, enabling AI agents to get real work done.

Today we are thrilled to announce that Frank Kilcommins, the principal author of Arazzo, has joined Jentic as our Head of Enterprise Architecture.

Building the Future of Agentic AI

Frank has spent his career defining how enterprises design, scale and govern APIs. He led API transformations inside major multinationals, served as Principal API Evangelist at SmartBear, and helped transition the OpenAPI Initiative from a single-spec body to a multi-spec standards group. Most importantly, he co-authored the Arazzo Specification, which is rapidly becoming the blueprint for how AI agents orchestrate workflows safely and predictably.

Sean Blanchfield, our co-founder and CEO, captured the significance of this moment:

“Frank has led the foundational work to make agentic AI safe and dependable in enterprise settings,” said Sean Blanchfield, co-founder and CEO of Jentic. “His vision in creating Arazzo gives us all a crucial and timely open standard for representing agentic business logic, allowing agents to reliably orchestrate complex tasks, while driving performance, energy efficiency, security, audibility and compatibility. We are proud to have him leading our next phase of architecture.”

By bringing the author of Arazzo into Jentic, we are aligning our platform with the very standard that makes reliable, secure and standards-based agentic AI possible. Frank will lead our standards-based architecture and guide large-scale enterprise adoption of AI agents with safety, clarity and control.

This is not just a new hire. It is a milestone for the entire ecosystem of open standards, APIs and AI agents.

Welcome to Jentic, Frank. We are beyond excited to build the bridge between AI Land and API Land together.
